Your Certified Acrobatics & Dance Instructor

Hi, my name is Ri Ren. I'm a Forestville local and have been dancing for over 19 years across a wide range of styles, studios and stages in Sydney and beyond. To share a few highlights from this time, I trained and competed for several years in national competitions across various styles including acrobatics and performed for major events like the Sydney Royal Easter Show, beauty pageants and even alongside the cast of the Next Step in their 2019 Sydney show. Additionally, I have produced my own creative passion projects including self-directed dance films (see below), became an Acrobatic Arts certified instructor in 2020, and taught weekly dance & acro classes for both competitive and recreational dancers at a multi-awarded dance and acrobatics studio in the North Shore.

I have experience teaching children at all levels from ages 3-14 years old and pride myself in my ability to adapt my teaching to fit the needs of my clients. I was trained as an instructor using industry-approved, gymnastics-based techniques, which ensures that my students learn through structured skill progressions that prioritise both correct technique and safety.

In addition to dance, I studied law and developmental/social psychology at university, which has helped me develop a deeper understanding of how children learn, build confidence and stay motivated when developing new skills.

​I'm passionate about empowering young people in dance and acrobatics to discover their potential and drive in a way that is uplifting, tailored to every students strengths and challenges, and celebrates every bit of progress along the way. Personally, there is no better feeling than seeing my students gain confidence and a sense of achievement as they master skills they once thought were impossible. It's why I do what I do!
